Thursday News

This song is a traditional hymn.  Most people veer away from these nowadays. However, when I focus on the lyrics and the meaning behind them I am filled with a sense of gratitude. Tomorrow is Good Friday.  The Good Friday message is not: “Jesus died on the cross, and here’s what it means for us when we die.” The real lesson is: “Jesus died on the cross, and here’s what it means for us right here and right now.” We get to live with the promise that He paid it all for us. How glorious is that?  In our brokenness - we are still forgiven.

If you email me about what this song means to you - you will get an extra homework grade.

We will not meet on Zoom again until after Spring Break.  I hope you all take this time to dive deeper into the word and to spend time with your family.

Please get all work submitted before 5:00 o'clock on Friday.  I love you all and miss you A LOT!  If you need anything during the break, you can message me.  I am always here for you.

In Christ,
Shelia Deese

⇨⇦ Today I am sharing with you Zoe's, my 14-year-olds, favorite worship song. It is called "You're Beautiful".  She learned this song at Snowbird, a Christian youth camp she attends with her youth group.  The lyrics bring her to tears.  She is just in awe of how beautiful and perfect God is.  Take listen - it won't disappoint.

Tuesday - we will not meet on Zoom but make sure you are checking Google Classroom for your daily work. Remember all work is due Thursday or Friday of this week. Please manage your time appropriately and don't wait until the last minute.

I will see you all Wednesday morning for Zoom Class.  I love you all and miss you dearly.  If you need any help - let me know.  I am always available to help.

April is Here!!

Heres another one of my favorite worship songs.  It stirs my soul every time I hear it.  It is so encouraging that God saw who I was and still deemed me worthy to be called His daughter.  As Easter approaches it is so important to be pointed to the cross and remind ourselves of what He did for each of us there.  I can't help but have an overwhelming sense of gratitude and joy - that as I run to Him, His arms are open. Take a listen - as you read my blog.

I hope everyone enjoyed the beautiful weather today.  I wanted to take a minute to remind you of a few things. Don't forget tomorrow is "Game Day" for our Virtual Spirit Week.  Tag me in your pictures to receive extra credit. #LCSvirtualspiritweek
